Biography	Robert Rideout Jr. works as the Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Hearing Operations-Social Security Administration in Raleigh, North Carolina. Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (1995), his Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University (1998), and Master of Strategic Studies (Distinguished Graduate) from the United States War College (2018). Following law school, he worked as an Assistant Public Defender, Assistant District Attorney, and Deputy Commissioner for the North Carolina Industrial Commission, before ultimately joining the Social Security Administration. Robert also served as a Lieutenant Colonel and Deputy Commander of the 134th Legal Operational Detachment in the United States Army Reserves. He is a former Military Judge and has recently been selected for promotion to Colonel. A veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, he has received numerous awards including the Bronze Star Medal (x2), the Meritorious Service Medal (x5), the Army Commendation Medal (x4), and the Army Achievement Medal (x4).
